A MESSAGE FROM THE AG SOCIETY PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Fall Fair Board, I would like to welcome you to the 161st annual Harriston-Minto Fall Fair. The theme this year is “Flannel Shirts & Denim Skirts”.

I would like to encourage all of you to come out and explore what the fair has to offer, including the always popular Demolition Derby and Soap Box Derby, as well as the Agricultural Awareness Barn, and the children’s area. I look forward to seeing the homemade goods exhibited in the Homecraft section each year, by youth and adults alike. It’s always fun to see how different people interpret the theme in their creations.

The Fair we present to you from Friday afternoon to closing on Sunday night has been prepared and organized by the volunteer membership of the Harriston-Minto Agricultural Society who have put in many long hours to make this event a success. I would like to thank all our members and their families for their hard work. We would also like to acknowledge our many partners in the community for their financial contributions which aids in our aim to make the Fair a success.

If you are interested in volunteering at the fair, please contact any of the directors, as we would be more than happy to have you on the team. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at the fair.

A MESSAGE FROM THE HOMECRAFT PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Harriston-Minto Agriculture society homecraft, it is my honour to welcome you to a fun-filled weekend of agriculture events, entertainment and a wonderful display of our communities talent.

Our 2020’s theme is Flannel Shirts & Denim Skirts. I’m looking forward to seeing what the theme will spark in creativity.  Our Homecraft division features Art, Photography, Flowers and Plants, Needlecraft, Youth Categories, Vegetables, Crafts, Wine, Baking & Preserves and so much more. We are excited to see all of our past exhibitors as well as to welcome some new faces. Please browse through our prize book and participate in our fair by creating something to enter in a section that interests you.

I’d like to thank all of the fair volunteers as well as the fair members for their hard work throughout the year in preparation, as well as their hands on work on Fair weekend to make everything run smoothly. Each and every person always goes above and beyond to ensure that we have a wonderful fair. Without the numerous volunteers and committees behind the scenes this would not be possible. I thank you for all your dedication and commitment.

I hope you all have an amazing fair weekend with your family and friends. The best part of our local fair is experiencing it with everyone in our community as we all make wonderful memories to share.
